Historic South Carolina Plantation for Sale

Friendfield Plantation in South Carolina

Plantation Services has recently listed Friendfield Plantation located near the seaport of Georgetown. Established in 1735 it is one of the earliest riverfront rice plantations. Today the property encompasses 3264 acres. There are numerous structures of historical significance including slave houses, ruins of ancient settlements and the Silver Hill House built in 1791 which has been meticulously restored. The main house at Friendfield (pictured above) was built in 1931.

The plantation contains expanses of long leaf pine woodlands for quail hunting, and impounded rice fields along the river for migratory waterfowl. Few places in America have as much history and charm. The plantation was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. $20,000.000
